How To Erase Charge Offs, Judgments, Collections and
Other
Bad Credit Items, Improve Your Credit Score, and Give Yourself a Fresh
Start |
 |
Less than four months ago I was
“handicapped” by a bad credit history. My credit report
contained charge offs, collections, late payments, a
repossession and other nasty items.
My credit score was so miserable
(501) that I was practically laughed out of every
bank I visited for a loan. I felt desperate, angry, and
worthless. |
|
|
|
|
I decided to take action and do something about my
situation. In less than four months I deleted eleven negative credit
items from my credit reports, raised my credit score 106 points, and
now have a fresh start. Repairing my credit was actually easier than I
thought – once I used the proper techniques. (I’ll tell you exactly
what I did in a minute.) First, I want you to know that credit repair
is possible – I am living proof of that. Plus, it is one of the best
things you can do to improve your lifestyle and financial future. If
you have bad credit, then you already know about all the nasty baggage
that comes with bad credit like… |
 |
How Bad Credit Keeps You Awake at Night.
Perhaps you worry like I did about your car dying. My credit was
so bad I couldn’t get approved for a car loan.
|
 |
How Bad Credit Can Ruin Your Career. Did you
know that many companies do a credit check as part of their hiring
process? Bad credit can make you officially un-hirable.
|
 |
How Bad Credit Is a “Home Wrecker”. Do you
ever bicker, argue, and fight with your spouse about money? Maybe
you know how it feels when your family is stuck in a tiny
apartment because you can’t get a home loan.
|
 |
Bad Credit is Embarrassing. My most
humiliating experience happened when I tried to buy a used car I
needed to get back and forth to work. After checking my credit the
salesperson returned and said (openly in front of my fiancée)…
|
|
|
“What happened to your credit? It’s a
mess. We can’t find a bank willing to deal with credit this
miserable…Can you get a co-signer?” |
|
I walked away from that used car guy feeling the
red hot shame and humiliation of rejection.
Afterwards I decided to try for a used car loan with my local bank. I
did my banking with them for years. I thought “Maybe they will
overlook a bad credit score for a loyal customer?”
Boy, was I wrong…
I met with a loan agent named “Peggy”. Peggy was quite friendly at
first. She smiled and chatted as I completed the paperwork.
Then Peggy checked my credit report…
As soon as Peggy discovered my dark little secret her mood changed
quite dramatically. She didn’t even try to be polite as she rattled
off the list of my bad credit items… the Nissan repossession, the Visa
charge off, the medical collection….
I sat there feeling like a school boy getting scolded as my face went
bright red with embarrassment.
Her judgmental eyes tore into me as she thought “You are one of those
people – irresponsible, a deadbeat, a real loser.”
Peggy’s reaction was fairly common. If you have bad credit, then most
people assume the worst. They assume that -
You may have learned that bad credit does more than
just ruin your good reputation. Perhaps you experienced the rejection
and helplessness when trying to get new credit.
Nearly everything nowadays requires you to have
good credit. Bad credit is almost like walking around without a name
or social security number. Chances are you already found out that.
-
You can’t get a new car
-
You definitely ain’t getting a home loan
-
You can’t get a basic credit card for emergencies
-
You cannot rent a decent apartment (although a
slumlord might rent to you).
-
You’ll have difficulty getting cable or satellite
television
-
You could be turned away for that new job or
promotion – or even fired from your current job.
If you are plagued by bad credit and are
experiencing any of these problems, then I am going to help you. But
first, I must make a confession – I don’t believe in coincidence or
chance. I believe there is a reason for everything. I believe there is
a reason this report is in your hands right now.
Repairing my credit changed my life. It dramatically improved my
lifestyle and gave me peace of mind. I want you to experience the same
feeling and I am going to help you get rid of bad credit.
First, allow me to explain a few secrets the credit
bureaus keep hidden from you.
Your credit history is your financial “Report
Card.” It is part of your identity. It is an inevitable part of your
existence. It is a necessary part of life.
Your credit history is based upon an “Information
In, Information Out System.” It works like this: |
It works like this: |
|

|
| When you apply for new
credit such as a new car loan or credit card, the credit bureaus
provide your credit report to the bank. The bank then reviews your
credit report and decides whether to approve or deny the loan. A
bank is more likely to reject you if you have negative items on your
credit report. |
| |
 |
|
It is especially difficult to get new credit in
2008 because of the recent problems in the sub-prime mortgage market.
Banks nowadays are very suspicious of people with negative credit
files. I know a real estate agent who summed up the current mortgage
situation in one sentence: |
| |
|
Even if you are lucky enough to get a mortgage loan
with bad credit, then you will likely pay high interest rates. This is
good for the bank, but bad for you. The bank makes a TON OF MONEY on a
bad credit high interest loan.
Banks Want You to Have Bad Credit –
If you have a bad credit history, then the banks can justify charging
you more interest. It is shocking how much money is taken from you…
in a high interest loan situation. Albert Einstein once said that the
most powerful invention he ever saw was compound interest - “Those who
understand it, earn it. Those who don’t, pay it.”
Let’s look at the following examples:
A typical bad credit auto loan will cost you an additional
$2,220.00 in interest payments
You will pay an extra $306.00 every month on a typical bad credit 30
year mortgage
You might not feel the impact of the interest on a day-to-day basis.
However, paying high interest is no different from somebody
reaching his grimy little hands into your bank account and stealing
your money, day after day, month after month, and year after year.
It is the people with bad credit who pay for the bank executive’s kid
to drive a BMW to high school and take exotic spring break vacations.
However, banks are not the only “bad” guys.
The Credit Bureaus Could Care Less
About Your Bad Credit – The credit bureaus are in the
business of making lots of money – not in the business of credit
repair. Equifax, one of the three credit bureaus, made a net profit of
nearly 275 million dollars last year.
They make their money by selling your credit report – not by fixing
it.
In fact, the credit bureaus LOSE money when they fix credit mistakes.
When you dispute items on your credit report, the bureaus are forced
to check information, verify sources, print paper, process mail, pay
postage fees, and pay employees.
That is why the credit bureaus intentionally make it difficult for
you to repair your credit.
They want you to get discouraged.
They want you to give up.
They want you to accept the misery of bad credit.
Plus, the credit bureaus “Presume You Are
Guilty - Unless You Prove You Are Innocent.” This is
completely opposite of the American criminal justice system.
As a result, if the credit bureaus say your credit history is garbage,
then your credit history is garbage.
There is no court of appeal, no arbitration board, no hearing, and no
higher authority.
To really rub salt in your wounds, credit bureaus keep negative items
in your file for SEVEN YEARS! (Bankruptcy and judgments can stay on
your credit for ten years or more.)

To put it another way, recent bad credit errors or inaccurate
information will stick to your credit report and ruin your good
reputation until 2015!
That is, unless you do something about it!
So How Do You Fix Bad Credit?
To fix bad credit, you cannot simply pick up the phone and ask to
have “good credit” again.
I wish it was that easy.
Fortunately you do have some rights when it comes to repairing your credit
reports. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a law which dictates
how credit bureaus maintain your information and handle disputes. In
particular, the FCRA states that credit bureaus must delete items
that are “out of date, inaccurate, or otherwise unverifiable.” 15
U.S.C. §1681(i)(5)
These rules give you a way to fight bad credit. However, I discovered
that there is more to credit repair than just spouting off the FCRA
rules.
Do-It-Yourself Credit Repair is a
Lonely Road – I initially thought credit repair would be
easy. However, I must admit that I hit one brick wall after another.
It was easy to send the letters, but getting results was
amazingly difficult and frustrating.
It was like being a rodent stuck on an exercise wheel – going
round and round without making any progress. One particular night I
spent several hours typing up a letter to the bureaus trying to erase
the car repossession. After a few weeks they sent me this rebuttal
stall letter. I pictured them sitting up in their ivory tower laughing
at me. |

|

|

So many times I
wanted to SCREAM. Here the problems with doing credit repair on your
own:
- What Items Should You Dispute First?
- How Do You Write an Effective Dispute Letter?
- What Happens if You File a Frivolous Dispute?
- How Do You Get Past the Credit Bureaus’ Screening Process?
- How Often Do You Send a Dispute?
- How Do You Respond to a Credit Bureau Stall Letter?
- How Many Items Can You Dispute at One Time?
To be honest, I got nowhere trying to repair my own credit. I felt
that I was only making matters worse.
Nevertheless, I was REALLY SICK of having bad credit. I wanted out!
I decided to research various credit repair programs. I discovered
a law firm that helps people repair their credit reports.
I also learned that this law firm is very experienced in credit
repair. Here are some quick facts about the law firm I found:
 |
They have over 400 lawyers,
paralegals, and agents working for their clients |
 |
Last year they deleted 602,879 bad
credit items for their clients including tough items like
bankruptcy, charge offs, foreclosures, and judgments.
|
 |
The law firm is accredited with The
Better Business Bureau (BBB) |
 |
They offer a risk-free refund policy
|
The Magic Formula –
Although my lawyers are too modest to call themselves Magicians, I
don’t know how else to describe their work on my credit reports.
They started the credit repair process immediately and deleted nine
negative items in less than 60 days – including collections, duplicate
credit card charge offs, and a delinquent student loan!
As a result, my credit score has already improved by 106 Points!!!
A “Deletion Letter” arrives in the mail each time they remove bad
credit items. It is such a relief to finally get good news in the
mail.

Here are JUST SOME of the letters I
received: |
